Delicious!: My wife and I have a 2 year old so we don't get out as often as we used to. When we do go out we prefer can't miss options and Lou & Mickey's has become our favorite. Their baked mozarella appetizer is a must, and the Filet and King Crab is currently my favorite meal. Service is very good, the atmosphere is a little more boisterous than most of the high end places downtown so I wouldn't necessarily recomend it for a romantic first date, but the food is wonderful.
At the entryway to the Gaslamp Quarter: Billed as a steakhouse, but with the ambiance of a fine italian eatery. I had the BBQ Jumbo Shrimp, and it was extremely good. I did sample the steak of one of my colleagues and it's easy to understand the 'Best of San Diego' awards. Our wait time was about 30 minutes to get in. Service was a bit slow, but in the company of friends, who cares? Overall, a pleasant experience.
Good Choice for Steak in San Diego's Gaslamp: This place is situated right at the entrance of the famous gaslamp district. It has a great atmosphere, and even better steaks. It's a little pricey, so bring your checkbook, but the food is worth it. I had the 12 oz. Sirloin, and it was absolutely delicious. Service was a little slow, but I was entertained by company, so no worries. They serve a fruit tea which is a little sharp. If you like tea, you may be out of luck here.
