Pokez Mexican Restaurant

Company Information: Pokez Mexican Restaurant serves a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes, however it is more known for the veggies it cooks up. The restaurant offers more than 30 varieties of tofu and vegetarian Mexican delicacies and has a casual environment. It claims to cook its delicacies in vegetable oil and not lard, making it a good option for vegans. This one is easy on the wallet and must be tried if one wants to taste some excellent Mexican food.

   LOVE POKEZ THE VIB/ATMOSPHERE IS ASS AWSOME ASS THE FOOD AND THERE WAITERS ARE HOT ;)

   The food is good but definitely not worth the wait and HORRIBLE service you will get. It takes about an hour to get a taco salad and 45 minutes for the waiter to bring you a beer (after you've asked for it twice). The waiters are very unfriendly and act as if they're doing you a favor by serving you. They're rude and have no customer service skills at all. I'm surprised this place is still in business. While the food is good, there are plenty of equally good vegan places to eat without the bad service and bad attitude. DO NOT waste your time - go someplace where they appreciate their customers and treat them with a little respect!!

   Pokez's vegetarian burritos are FANTASTIC--- the best burrito between Los Olivos and the Mexican border..The only downfall? One of their employees used my credit card to do some on-line shopping today (just fielded the fraud phone call from my credit card company). So, Pokez, keep serving the best burritos and casual ambiance ever....but do give some serious consequences to employees who cop clients' credit card information :(
