User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsHave fun getting refused a glass of water!: Always had a great time at this place, but recently the service (at the main bar at least) was terrible! After over-charging and over-serving my girlfriend they refused to serve her a glass of water saying "we don't serve glasses of water after 10...buy this bottle of water for $5." All this with a rude attitude! I wrote a letter but never got a response. Save you time and money at his bars like Side Bar, Stingaree, and Bar West. Try Johhny V in PB, J-Bar, or Sand Bar instead.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMust Check This Place Out!: I stopped into the Side Bar when I was in San Diego (from Orange County) in March and loved it so much, I am planning my 30th birthday there!! The vibe of this place is chic and cool, but the people are still open, friendly and laid back; just what you expect from San Diego! Saturdays get pretty busy so bottle service is highly recommended!

LOVE IT: I love Side Bar. It still blows away the competition. (Way better than The Confidential Bar.) The food is great the bartenders are great. Good place to see celebreties when they are in town.

this is basilio, the owner, please email me anytime at basilio@cafebareuropa.com if you ever experience anything like this. I am both embarrased and upset to find that a bartender was refusing water to a patron. that is and was totally unacceptable. if i had any way of knowing who it could have been that did that , i would have fired that person immediately. i have just had a serious discussion with all my staff about this incident and i am doing everything i can to make sure that it will never happen again.
