I love this place! I travel to San Diego once a year for a conference. Stayed here four out of the last five years. Located midway between the airport and downtown. The view from bayside is great. If you are going to Petco Park or the Convention Center, you could take the nearby trolley, but I generally walk along the bay. The staff has always been courteous to me. They hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up at the airport, which is much better than trying to hail a cab. You will land and be at your hotel rather quickly. If you are looking for glitz and glamour, there are probably better places. However if you are looking for convenience and location I would look here first.
The room price is only for the location. Room service does not answer the phone and restraunt is mediocre. The pay per use computer in lobby costs $6 for 12 minutes to use plus .89 per page to print and is not a color printer.
Great Location!: You can get anywhere and see anything even on foot from this great spot! Found some bargains in the gift shop also! We are going again and booked here again in two weeks.
