Loved the atmosphere and the coziness despite the horiffic chairs. If you have a bad back or heavier than 250, dont even try it.
The food was absolutely amazing. The service... Well, it seemed like our waiter didnt seem to understand that much english when we asked for Chicken Fettachini Alfredo, and I asked for something different of a combo off their menu... instead of the waiter clarifying or even asking the chef... he just gave us what he thought. He disregarded my requests completely. My friend got nothing even close to Alfredo which the waiter should have explained and asked him if he even wanted such a differing dish.
Yes, the bruchetta caprese was completely orgasmic. And the tirimisu which the waiter comped us since he got so many things wrong and knew we werent all that happy with, was to die for. I never liked this dessert, basically cuz it was never made correctly!
I would totally go back. Decent prices great food, yet I would be really picky whom I would have for my waiter if I wanted to order a slight variation off of the menu.
The food was surprisingly amazing even with the wrong order. 5 stars for food and flavor. Just always make sure you get a waiter that will be more proactive and understand english a bit better...
I don't know if this was b/c we visited the new location in El Cajon, but our experience was terrible. We had dinner here for Valentines Day and could not have been much worse. When we arrived, we had to find the host to tell her we had a reservation, instead of being greeted. Then they asked us to sit at the bar and wait for our table. Up to three people would be behind the bar at a time, and nobody even offered us water, let alone a drink. Finally we got someones attention and asked for it ourselves. Upon being seated at our table, it took a waiter over another five minutes just to come and take our actual drink order and we decided we better just order why he was there. This is prolly because they had a special menu for Valentines Day, but the dish my date had was terrible. I requested no pesto on my dish, and the waiter was extremely rude when telling me they could not change a single thing from what the menu said. I would almost feel bad writing this review, if it wasn't for over hearing the couple next to us discussing their awful experience as well. I was extremely disappointed! Especially after I had read all the previous reviews and thought this would be an excellent place to take someone out to dinner at.
We live in L.A. and every time we visit San Diego we have to go to Arriverderci. It has to be the best Italian restaurant we've ever been to. The procciuto and melon is the best I've ever had, and I've had it several times. The procciuto is moist, tender, flavorful, and is not salty at all. The Trecolori Fantastica Salad is just that, fantastic! The different lettuces, goat cheese, walnuts and dressing are simply the best. The pastas have authentic, tasty sauces and the meats and fish are always beautifully presented and taste wonderful. I had the Flat Iron Steak special and my boyfriend had the Cioppino. We hardly talked the entire meal because we were savoring every bite. We finished our meal with tiramisu, absolutely the best. Honestly, we have nothing but great things to say about the restaurant, the service, the decor, everything. Be sure to call well in advance and make a reservation. Our first time we had no reservation and had to wait an hour. Now we make reservations at least one week before we go. We're going tomorrow night and can't wait.
