    I go here frequently as I live nearby and it's convenient. It's a bit expensive, and frankly, I do not understand the rave reviews at all. They usually only have a handful of non-fried options and when they do have it the fish is generally tough when it shouldn't be. As far as the fried fish, it's actually quite bad. No one who knows their fish and chips should even think of ordering it here.

    Yes, it handily beats a McFish sandwich, but beyond that it's nothing special for lunch.

    The market itself does have occasional good deals on good quality fish, however, I find Catalina Wholesale has twice the quality at (sometimes) half the price.

    Great fish but a little too much fried food. I prefer the grilled fish of El Pescador on Pearl St. in La Jolla.

    I love the tartar sauce with the fresh fried clams, haven't been to SD in 6 years and miss it!! I'm in Michigan now (yuck!) I was wondering if anyone knew how to make their tartar sauce!! write me @ sstevens_60@yahoo.com if u have a clue.
