My Husband and I just went to Chateau Orleans last night to celebrate his Birthday..I have to say that we absolutely love this place. The Fried Green tomatoes were GREAT. We both had the Granny's Catfish and the seasoning on it was very flavorful..For dessert we had the whiskey bread pudding with their homemade whipped cream and for someone who doesn't really care for bread puddying, I helped eat half of it! We had Watermelon wine with our meal and that was very refreshing...The service was absolutely wonderful and the owner himself was very attentive. There was even a Zydeco band was playing live music..We can't wait to go back!

I went to Chateau Orleans with a couple of friends - both of whom are from New Orleans, where I lived and worked for a travel magazine for more than 10 years - on a friday night. Between the 3 of us we have probably eaten at every restaurant from Morgan City, La., to Mobile, Ala. Finally we found a restaurant in San Diego that can compare and compete with the flavors of the best New Orleans restaurants - Chateau Orleans. The food was very good and the live music (unfortunately I forgot the name of the performer) was excellent.

Contrary to another review on this site, I found the frog legs to be quite good indeed. The Blackened BBQ entree I had was excellent. My dining companions thoroughly enjoyed their entrees as well, one had the Creole Salmon and the other had the Cajun Cordon Bleu. The salmon was quite good (though I am not usually a fan of salmon) and the Cajun Cordon Bleu was incredible.

Chateau Orleans offers the best New Orleans cuisine you will find in San Diego. Loved the food, the atmosphere and especially the live music. Thanks for a memorable experience!

I want to start by saying that I am from Louisiana born and raised, so I was happy to about a good cajun joint. I have to say that now that I have been there I am very disappointed in the food I ate there. When my wife and I got there it seemed to be a cozy little spot so I thought to myself this might just be a good place to eat. I walked in and a man was playing the blues, so I liked that. We were seated in a nice spot and the servers were friendly.I ordered the frog legs to start. The frog legs were not cooked properly and were bland. I ordered for a meal the crawfish etouffe. I have to say it was not even close to good it was like a slap in the face I didnt even finish I asked for the check. I am going to say the etouffe at Joe's Crab Shack is better than theirs.
