| About: | This bright, noisy, cheerful restaurant is not the place for a relaxing meal, but it is great fun. A popular venue for birthday parties, graduation celebrations and other family nights out, the restaurant also offers a full bar for the adults. You can get even enjoy chewable alcohol in the form of Jello shooters. The menu consists of hamburgers and retro home-style cooking, with a few contemporary choices. If Mom's meatloaf makes your mouth water, you can find a re-creation of it at Corvette Diner. |

At a recent visit to Corvette, there was an issue with the TAKE-OUT food item being not up to the consistent amount and quality standard. I called later to ask why the amount was so much less, and I was told it is the same amount either way. NOT. The Take-out shake-----No whip cream or cherry on top--------hey, that's partly why the shake is (supposed) to be a classic and good. It took less than 24 hours that the follow-up by Corvette management contacted me to discuss the issue, and make "it right." HATS off to the attention to detail by management to ensure that customers WILL not ever go away from a dining experience not satisfied. Take-out included. Whatever the issue, let the restaurant personnel know, and SPEAKING FIRST HAND, they or management will make your dining experience top-notched....and do the right thing by providing satisfaction.
We read the reviews and we excited to try the restaurant. We had a party of four and everyone was very disappointed. The food was so bad and just cheap cheap meat/ingredients. Very disappointing.
I finally ate at this restaurant with my girlfriend (we live a few blocks away), and I was NOT impressed at all. The waitress was rude, the food was average at best, and we will never eat there again. There are SO many excellent restaurants in Hillcrest that are much better than this place; you can even walk across the street and eat at St Tropez, or at the Greek restaurant (the name escapes me) directly across the street. Hope that helps; I'm a huge fan of good food, but the Corvette Diner is nothing but a waste of time in my opinion.

I thought the point was that the waitress is supposed to be rude? Isn't that part of the ambiance?
