I'm originally from the Bronx and Yonkers so I was skeptical and pissy that someone could name their pizzeria Bronx Pizza. Kinda like all these other crappy pizzerias around here that name themselves with some NY derivative but taste nothing close to a good slice of pizza from back home. But I have to give it up to Bronx Pizza. So far they're the best out here on the west coast and I've tried at least 3 dozen pizza places. Plus they sell by the slice! The way it oughtta be. And a real slice that you can fold not like some places that sell pizza squares wtf is up with that?! You also have your choice of sprinkling some oregano or parmesan cheese, maybe red peppers and garlic powder, but I'm not sure since I don't do either. So that's a plus. Oh and NO ranch, you don't need it! At first I was disgusted that people out here in Cali could dip pizza in ranch. But after a couple years it makes sense. Pizza out here tastes...different (like cardboard) and I guess people needed to cover up the fact that most pizza out here has no flavor. But that's not the case with Bronx pizza. It's really good compared to all the other Cali pizzerias, so it's 5 stars for Cali folks. But only a 8 out of 10 for my favorite pizza of all time. If you want a 10 out of 10 in my book you gotta go to NY for that...
THE BEST PIZZA IN TOWN! I've tried many of them all over and this one is the winner. There are many "NY" pizza places around but only THIS ONE can be called TRUE NY pizza.
Take from a BRONXITE who grew up eating the best pizza in NY (Nick's Pizzeria on Gun Hill Rd near the 5 train station so good it made you wanna smack your mama.) San Diego's almost as good, makes you wanna smack your aunt LOL! The guys who work there give excellent personable customer service and are willing to make customized calzones if you're willing to wait, and there's a real atmosphere of home in the loud busy vibe inside the the actual "parlor" as pizzerias used to called when I was a kid a pizza parlor.
So iffen you're tired of dry, sans olive oil and real cheese pizza, go to Bronx pizza where the tables have ground garlic and parmesan cheese in the dispensers (like you should) and peppers as well. The cheese STRETCHES when you bite into the pizza as it should be indicating that REAL CHEESE has been used and the sauce dosent overpower the crust into sogginess and you WANT to eat end piece. So get up and go to BRONX PIZZA and get yourse'f a REAL slice of NY style pizza.
Definitely my favorite pizza in San Diego!
Get it by the slice or get the whole pizza...either way, you will eat everything in front of you!
Thin crust and many types on display to choose from!
This is a small spot that gets very busy...they are not really that friendly, but i understand, they are working hard and moving fast.

Oh I remember Nick's Pizzeria, it's been a long time probably been about 11 or 12 years at least since I've last been there...they had the best Sicilian's I think it was like 12 bucks and you get a HUGE pie with 8 thick delicious slices. Man I miss those days...
