| About: | The Harar Ethiopian Restaurant has never been hyped, and that's why it has maintained a low profile and never failed to impress. Come here for lovely Ethiopian cuisine and spicy African flavors. The vegan options are ample and the wine list is not far behind. The lunch hours are vivacious with office goers and students crowding the place, while in the evenings you will see more of a family crowd. Reasonable rates, delicious preparations and apt location make this a perfect hit. And note that Harar's collection of maps, artifacts and literature pertaining to Ethiopian culture and history make it an educational experience as well as a tasty one. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of my favorite places to take family and friends when they visit San Diego. Very extensive Vegetarian selections and the service is excellent. The fresh hand-strained cheese is a wonderful addition to many of the rich, berbere spiced dishes. The injera bread is soft and warm---be prepared to eat with it as no forks are needed. Sega Wot, Yedoro Wat and the Vegetarian combination are delicious and affordable.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 stars#1 for ethiopian cuisine!: no better place in san diego for ethiopian food than Harar. Nice atmosphere, efficient and friendly service, incredible buffet every friday. for the rest of the week, order the "Harar Special" or the # 17. now im hungry...
