About:The Turf Supper Club is a holdover of a 50's food fad: the cook-it-yourself steakhouse. Since 1950 the Turf Supper Club has been an entertaining gathering place for carnivorous San Diegans. With the great food, stiff drinks and relaxed atmosphere you'll enjoy gathering at the grill with other diners to cook your steak. Don't worry if you're not a cook there's plenty of help-maybe too much! Right from the wait staff and the other diners.     One of my favorites: My wife and I love the Turf. We used to live a couple blocks down the street so we could walk. Now, we have to drive a few miles but still manage to get there a few times a month. The atmosphere is great and casual, the quality of the meat is outstanding, and the drinks are first-rate.

    One of my favorites!

    The place to just chill: great place to just hang out without all the foofah of the downtown bar scene. good food, good vibe, long time staff
