Since the 1960s and many visits to LaPinata, I have NEVER found anything in my food but FOOD. I love the restaurant, the location, the people and most of all, the food!

On Saturday April 6 We ate at la Pinata restaurant and discovered a piece of metal on the chips. We told the Waitress someone else came over and mentioned that it was there because is was a piece of the cleaning equipment...duuuu what a pitifull place. No excuses. We got sick afterward we took a picture of the piece of metal too bad we can't post it here. We can send it to the San Diego county of health inspection so that they clean up that place or close it. Awful place!!

This is a quaint, old establishment. The service is very good and the food too! There are piñatas hanging all over and the restaurant is a little old house with hard wood floors and a little patio in the back, close to a old mission/park. This is one of the oldest Mexican restaurants in San Diego. I have lived here since the 60's and have been to a lot of Mexican Restaurant. Its not fancy but comfortable.
