Sam Woo BBQ Restaurant

Company Information: Tucked away in the back of a shopping complex, this restaurant makes no pretensions to high dining. Instead it is typically loud and full of hungry patrons stuffing themselves from an array of dishes. In the take-out section on the side, recently barbecued fowl are strung up for the admiring. The chicken in soy sauce, roast duck and barbecue pork are all good. Almost every other kind of Cantonese and Szechuan dish can also be found here. Try the Rock Cod Filet with Black Bean Sauce or the Sam Woo Hot Pot.

   We ate there the other day and found rat poop in our chow mein. The manager denied it and was rude when we even showed it to him -- fitting for the absolutely horrible service there. We will never eat there again and consider it a moral obligation to post this review so you all are warned -- do not eat there. I don't know why the health inspectors haven't closed it down yet!

   The place to eat if you are into great food but not atmosphere and service. Authentic Chinese food: the kind of food you would find if you were in HK. Food is very well priced and the service is fast. Not fat free!

   food is ok, but very salty. can upset your stomach. good thing is that the cooks are fast. bad thing is the bad service. those women there are rude as hell. i dunno what up their asses but they are not welcoming at all, they are racist, and you have to yell at them or get up to go tell them you need bowls or water or something cuz they don't care like american restaurants. they just throw your food on your table and leave. and they yell at everyone who doesn't give them like at least a 20% tip or something. why do you think you don't get tipped that much? think. and yelling at customers isn't gonna make things better. idiots. it's ridiculous. but people generally like sam woo so they go there cuz its the only one around. if you know other chinese restaurants, go there for a better time.
