There are more than 7,000 exhibits of dates and produce, fine art, photography, home arts, floriculture, gems, minerals, real livestock, camels and even satellite wagering. There are monster truck races, a carnival of thrilling rides, games, and food galore. There are ostrich races daily from 1p-3p. In addition, there is an Arabian Nights Fantasy show.

National Date Festival: If you get the opportunity to visit this years National Date Festival in Indio, be sure and visit the General Patton National Museum exhibit space. World War II veterans and buffs will find the exhibit and book signing on February 18, 2006 of the book: "Remembering: Stories From The World War II Pacific" and published by Jerry Jackson most patriotic and a fascinating read.
