We spent 10 days there in January 2012. The morning after we arrived, we asked if we could upgrade our site and stay 2 extra nights. We were told it was possible and we paid the additional fee. On our original exit date, we were told we had to leave the park as they were full that weekend and we had not paid enough to stay longer. We told the manager we were told it was OK and we paid what we were charged at the time of the request. We were told it wasn t enough. We were traveling with another couple who went with us to upgrade & extend their stay at the same time. We both paid the additional charge at the same time. Well, apparently the staff member made a mistake and we were told to leave. We refused to move until the day we had paid to leave. Found out 2 days later , that they charged our initial credit card we used for the deposit an additional $175. When I called to asked what is was for, I was told I hadn t paid enough and they could have had us towed out. I had my bank reverse the charges citing fraud. The reversal was upheld since Emerald Desert had charged my credit card without my approval. The bank is the one that said is was fraud, not a disputed charge. It was treated the same as if one of the employees had stolen my card and used it. We have no intention of ever returning to this park. We were treated like criminals when it was their mistake. Charging my credit card makes them the criminals since they had no right to do it.

Very nice park but way too expensive. Since Sunland resorts took over space rentals have skyrocketed. We used to stay here before Sunland but not anymore. Any park that prices individual spaces will not get my business
