Jalisco - as old as me!: have been going here for a number of years now, every time i want something fresh and delicioso... i used to work in a restaurant long ago, and have been a fast food fanatic for years... but any time i need a break of the same ol'fat, i come here...
the owner is an older Gentleman who works the grill with a hatchet and cutting board, along with his sons and other relatives... underneath a sheath of aluminum, there lie the meats: birria, carne asada and chicken and all are grilled to order... they use only fresh vegetables, everything cut per order, and all have a side of lemons to give that tang to your taste bud...
my usual order are the tacos, rolled in paper, with your choice of meat and chopped tomatoes and lettuce...
i've ordered their quesedillas and they are heaven, with hot melted jack cheese dripping from all sides... you can have either fresh corn or flour tortillas...
you waiter/waitress is a fast person, who will have your order out to you in under 10 minutes! fresh 'aguas' are available: horchata, tamarindo and lemonade,a nd you can have ice tea or hot tea but this isn't the place for coffee! while you wait, there's home made chips and fresh salsa - but be careful, the red one is the hotter of the two! a few months ago, they got new furniture, carved with Mexican Ranchero style reliefs...
