I love this restaurant and it is the one I usually go to, especially with relatives, friends, or a date. It is so cute, tucked in the corner of The Village Shopping Center next to Ralph's in Indian Wells at Hwy. 111 & Cook St. The best part is you can sit inside or outside on the partially secluded (considering it's in a shopping center) patio, also depending on the weather, and still be entertained by the singers. They do mostly operatic arias, showtunes and standard songs throughout the evening.

It has a warm, intimate, friendly atmosphere with only 50 seats and it's such a pleasant place to dine al fresco on a nice evening.

The food is very good, fresh and well presented. With an entree which is generally around $25. or so, you get a great little cup of soup followed by a nice crispy green salad, with plenty of warm bread and butter. Besides the Northern Italian fare, they serve fresh fish and steaks. I usually stick with my favorite Chicken Milanese but I hear the Lasagna and Manicotti are terrific from my dining companions.

The deserts are also very good, not my favorite French Cafe in Palm Desert, but MUCH better than most. The coffee is fresh and hot so overall, it's a lovely time to be had at Cafe Italia.
