| About: | Always busy, this well-run restaurant and bar, complete with dance floor, provides great Mexican food, friendly service and a never-failing spirit of fun. Sit inside for a little insulation from the hustle and bustle or grab a sidewalk-side table near the Palapas Bar, where the heated dance floor keeps people bouncing even when the temperature is unseasonably cold. Choose a tequila from the vast selection of premium brands while listening to the strolling mariachis, who start playing in the morning. Great food and a wonderful cover band out on the terrace. That band has been playing there for as long as we have been heading out to the math conference each November. We'll be there again- the mob of teachers dancing and drinking out on the terrace!
This is the ONE and only location I like. Make sure it is 222 S. Palm Canyon you are visiting.
I have tried the other locations and the food does not compare.
Nice band, they have misters running all over the patio area and good, strong drinks.
The service could be a little more attentive. The food is delicious and piping hot with real refried beans sizzling on your plate. The wait can be long at times and they really do need to crank up the air conditioning. It's Palm Springs!!! I have been coming here for years. The red chile is very good and the enchiladas are safe to order (not Gringo-like most restaurants)Carne asada is yummy. Chips & Salsa kept flowing.
I love this place. I won't try any other Mexican restaurants when I come to town.
This is "THE BEST" Mexican restaurant in the Desert. I took my family there in October '07 from Missouri and they fell in love with the food and the service. It was truly a wonderful experience for all 7 of us. And if you are in a hurry, you can order from "Pronto" which is their "take-out" and the food is the same excellent quality and the service is very friendly and helpful.
