Amenities include a Jacuzzi big enough for 18 people, fountains, tumbling waterfalls, pools and the occasional Tiki figure. This hotel provides a fun and relaxing excursion from home life, catering to an international gay male clientele. The rooms are decorated in a slightly retro style with tropical touches. All rooms have king size beds, color TV, VCR, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Some suites have fireplaces, kitchens, beam ceilings and sound systems. Rates are highest in winter, lowest in summer.

The grounds and the ammenties are nice to look at, but since my last stay, the staff at the desk are abrasive, have a personality of a rock. Mike the supposed new manager is the worst. I am not sure what qualifications they look for when hiring there front desk employees (supposed customer service people). I would recommend they look for more qualified people instead of people off the street whom seem to have no idea what it takes to retain repeat customers. As for me, I will stay anywhere but there. And from someone who as stayed in Gay resorts all over the world, trust me, I know what I am talking about and know the difference between great customer service and total unacceptable service which I recently experienced. The enormous, lit at night with a line of fire is so unique...and the fire pit very near one of the large hot tubs. Walking paths filled with trees, shrubs, blooming foilage, enormous koi in a water feature that includes a bridge. There's always room for improvement, but no place like it in the world. We highly recommend this large resort within walking distance to bars, clubs and downtown. And the views, thus the name, Vista Grande.
