Caffe Italia

Small family-owned restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine with authentic Italian attitude. Appear to be very popular with the locals and the owner even came out and gave us chocolate for Valentine's Day. The menu items are very simple - spaghetti or ravioli/tortellini pasta with some kind of sauce. There are a few chicken dishes but that is about it. You will not find anything outside of that. The focaccia style bread is served with no butter, no olive oil, or balsamic vinegar - just like in Italy. Don't bother asking for anything that is not on the menu, or to ask for something to be removed because you will be greeted with Italian attitude. The food is pretty authentic, salty and flavorful. I enjoyed it. But again, if you are a particular eater, then you probably won’t enjoy it. Trust me, I traveled throughout Italy this past summer and that is EXACTLY how Italians are. Don’t tell them how they should serve their food, they won't change it for anyone.

The best pizza in Palm Springs and Coachella Valley - bar none! Especially the Caffe Italia with no green peppers (my personal favorite). Family-run business with terrific Italian food. Mama, Papa, and the three sisters treat you like family, whether it's your first time or hundredth time at Caffe Italia. Try it, you'll like it.
