WOW!!! If not the best, at least one of the best in the high desert. So good, we went there for lunch on the way to big bear and on the way back we had dinner there too :)(Same-Day). This is an outstanding family run restaraunt. The way it used to be when you went out for Chinese. Good Chinese Food, Generous Portions, Great Service, Fair Prices. Reminds me of a Chinese Restaraunt my Dad would take us too on special occasions in New Jersey, back in the 70's when we were kids. Owner has been there 22 Years and it shows... One of the kids had the #14 as recommended, He loved it, Another had the shrimp Chow Mein... I had the Sweet and sour pork, They cam e with dry noodles, sweet and sour sauce to dip, Soup, EggRoll and Fried Wanton for Lunch, Cold bottomless Water and Hot tea was also included. A+. For Dinner we had the Family Special B, Included Spare Ribs, Which were the best I have ever had, A wonton Soup with meat, vegtables, Eggroll, Fried Prawns (Large Shrimp) and our choice of two entrees. We tried the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and Sweet and Sour Chicken. They also brought out hot towels to clean our hands after the appetizers. It was a special treat for us, worth the 15 minute drive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, While we were in there at Dinner, Another customer over heard us saying we came back a 2nd time in one day, He told us he had been going there for over 20 years. Every special occasion they have is celebrated there. Other cusomters came in that new the owner Felix by name. We told Felix we discovered them from Yahoo reviews and said everyone was 5 out of 5 stars. If we could rate it higher we would. Oh, and yes, my son thought he could drink all of his water to try and keep his cup empty.. He could not get to the bottom of his water fast enough... Water was always full. I would right more, but will save some for the next reviewer. We will make it apoint to go there, most likely next weekend too...

I have been coming here for at least 4 years. The food is consistantly good, the service is outstanding and friendly. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. The recipes are tastefully prepared to order. You simply cannot empty your water glass. I drive here from Big Bear City just to have lunch. It's definately worth the trip and is a favorite restaurant of mine. The owner takes pride in remembering his customers and will really take care of you! I recommend the lunch special #14 but the dinners are exquisite.

I've been eating there for about two years. I live in Apple Valley but it's worth the trip. I have the fun of taking my Harley out for a spin, then rewarded with great food and friendly service. I'm not concerned by prices, but China House prices are better than competitive.
