User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsAmbience: The decor looks cheap and the booth we sat in was very uncomfortable.
Food: the chips and salsa were disappointing, and things never improved. The only dish we enjoyed was the Mexican-style steak--it was moist, tender, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was dry and rather bland.
Service: while our server was sweet, she was ill-informed about the menu and often mixed up our order.
While the steak dish was acceptable, virtually everything else wasn't. From the subpar service to the tomato paste masquerading as salsa, Anchos simply failed to please. Considering the vast number of Mexican restaurants in and around Riverside, there's not really a reason to return to Anchos.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI've been going to Anchos for over 15 years. The owner is incredible. The staff is fast and hard working. The tortillas and all steak fajitas are the best on the planet. When it's my turn to pick dinner I pick Anchos.

diablo shrimps, baby back ribs with tortillas and salsas are good...but need to try their other specialties there too!
