Avoid Toyota of Temecula Valley, these people don't even deserve 1 star!
I went to Toyota yesterday (9-24-09) with a friend who was going to buy a car as soon as the next day. My friend had her sights sent on a Yaris due to it's "steller" reliability and gas mileage. My friend and I were greeted with a half ass smile and hand shake. We told him we were interested in the Yaris and takes us over to it We just stand their waiting for the man to tell us a little info about the car, I had to ingage in criticizing the car (which wasn't hard) before he would start talking. We asked to see in side and he was kind enough to grab the keys. My friend who was pushing on this car from when she first told me, asked to test drive it, and the sales mams response was, no. He said we needed the Co-signer present before he would let us drive her drive it, my friend offered to caller her mother to verify that she was in deed looking to buy a car and was going to co sign and that wasn't good enough. We even asked if he could look to see that other Toyota dealerships had because we didn't like the teal color they had and he told us and I quote "Be glad this is what we have, it's too hard to keep these in stock" and we left. This was almost as bad as the Nissan dealership across the street. I've had three different experiences with Mazda and everyone of them have been pleasant, we test a wonderful Mazda3 and left happy
I took my car in to be serviced for its 70,000 mile service. I wanted the Maintenance done and for them to check my transmission that was not running well. First of all, the person that checked my car in told me how much he "hates" working with my fleet company (it's a Co. car)and that it makes his job suck (as if I have control over either of those issues). They had my car for ONE week to do all the repairs and service needed. After I went and picked up my car and drove off I noticed that my "needs" service light was still on. I called the dealer to find out if the 70,000 mile service was done. It took them 3 phone calls and 2 hours to figure out that they never did it, even though it was on the paperwork. Then they had the nerve to tell me that they could make me an appt, for a week away and that I would have to leave the car all day. There was no apology or explanation as to why it wasn't done during the 7 days it was there. I called the number on my statement for "complaints" and left a message for a return call....no one ever called back. Needless to say, I will never take my car to that SHADY place!
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but I wanted to make an exception for these guys. I took my daughter in to look at Corrolla's, and said I wanted to take a test drive...was told they would need to run credit first prior to test drive to make sure I was credit worthy..WOW! I told them you have to be kidding me, the salesmen said it was just policy. I told him I had no intention of going through that process until I checked to see if she even liked the car...he said well I can bring my manager over if you want to go in and sit down. I said no thanks...I will go somewhere else...to which he responded, well let me see if I can bend the rules for you. What azzholes, I wonder if they treat every single person like a no nothing dipshiat?!!! My advice.....go somewhere else!
