About:"Finbar's...That doesn't sound Italian?" Well it's not, traditionally speaking that is. St. Finbars is the parish and school where our family is from in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. A place with more Italian families per square foot than, well let's just say there are plenty of grandmas, moms and quite a few uncles that all know how and love to cook. That's where these recipes come from, the East side of Manhattan, straight to the point food, and plenty of it. What's not so traditional about that? Finbar's, a not so traditional name for a not so traditional restaurant. Have fun!

    This place is soo good! When I worked at the theater...I used to eat lunch here all the time (Or at least when I could afford it, tad pricey). My favorite is Two in the bowl.

    This place has wonderful Italian food. It's not a fancy looking place and with a name like Finbars, you would think that their Italian food wouldn't be good...but you'd be wrong!
    The service has been great both times I've been. Be sure to order the chopped salad. The bolognese sauce was excellent, not too greasy like most other Italian restaurants. Best cappuccino I've had since I visited Italy!

    Great food and service at a decent price. Located in the South Coast Plaza. It is a small restaraunt with a small patio for those who like to eat outdoors. I always take company or friends there to eat.
