the selection is excellent, great menu.
    the quality is also excellent.
should have been a 5 star, but the services is poor.
we arrived around 5:30 and there was about half the tables empty. the watress told us to choose a table.
menu's came quickly and a server took our appetizer order and drinks, here is where it gets interesting. we talk about beer with him and chose one, he came back with sake, and the wrong appetizer. got that srtaighted out and he brought the beer and the correct appetizer, he made a point of telling me that i ordered sake.......... he took our entree orders and about five min. later a waitress brought us two plates of food, before i had a chance to ask her what it was, because it was not ours she was gone in the back. on the other side of the room a man came over and said i think thats ours, "it happens alot here ",but the food is good. he was correct it was excellent. we ordered desert while we where eating because it takes about 10 min to prepare, bannana's in wonton. we finished eating and asked for some take out containers, when she returned with the leftovers she gave us the bill and again flew into the back before i looked at it. there was no desert on the bill i flagged down one of the other servers amd she went to check if it was being prepared it was not.
we declined to have it prepared paid the bill and left. no apology or anything.
when we got home my wife put the leftovers away and started laughing. they gave us our two entree's but none of the rice dish we had left over.
if you can put up with poor service and are willing to watch everything they say or do, and spend a extra 20 min or so at dinner the food is great.

Just there last weekend. The Thai iced tea is too sweet and so is the Pad Thai. Even after squeezing the lime, I had to ask for chili pepper tray to make the noodles more palatable. The service is decent. There is better Thai restaurants though... Thainakorn about 10 miles north is probably more to my taste.

Truly fabulous food. My husband is India and likes his food spicy. I'm a former New Yorker and like mine mild. No matter what dish you order at Silk Thai it will be seasoned to YOUR taste on a scale of 1-10 for spices.

Each dish is made fresh. We love the fresh rolls (veggies and shrimp) wrapped in a thin paper like roll...delicious. We also always order the cucumber salad. We're told the papaya salad is to die for as well. The restaurant has an intimate feel with maybe 20 tables. The service is great, fast and courteous. Do yourself a favor stop by Silk Thai...I can guarantee once you've eaten there,,,you'll be back! It's on the northeast corner of Beach Blvd and Adams Ave in Huntington Beach. It's between Mother's Market and Kinko's/Fed Ex...just a few doors to the right from Kinkos's. Enjoy!
