User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI had a very bad experience here and will not be returning. The chow mein we ordered hong kong style was gross - the sauce tasted like dill, and the waiter refused to take it back and bring us something else, and really seemed to get mad at us for asking!!! -- even though we were nice about it. He yelled at us, and must have told the others about it, because then the female waitress was giving us dirty looks. He just kept saying that "that's why i described the dish to you" --- ? But it wasn't the mechanics of the dish, which i am very familiar - it was the flavor. After you are treated like that, the fact that the honey walnut shrimp was delicious, or the place was decorated cool doesn't seem to matter. I don't go out to lunch with my three year old to get treated like that. It was myself, and my very pregant friend (we are both women) and my 3 year old daughter, who was very well behaved. I just can't explain his behavior except to think he is just in need of some psychiatric care- and perhaps has too much of his ego invested in that restaurant. That was my worst restaurant experience in years. The only thing that tops it is the time i was given tortillas with my mu shu pork at some place in Westminster about 10 years ago....
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGood: The lunch specials are a real deal and the food is excellent. The portions are large and you won't leave hungry. The staff is friendly and visit the table often to make sure you're happy. The owner, the son of the original owner works there ...
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI enjoyed every thing about the Ruby palace!!!: I had their Lunch Special, which came with more then I thought I paid for, I loved the environment.
