The barbers at the Men's Quarters just cut men's hair. They are skilled and experienced. They are professionals, and you will be treated with respect. You'll get a haircut that will make you look your best, and your time will be valued.

This is not a low-priced chain. You'll never be pressured in buying over-priced hair care products, ever.

Al Villa, the owner, has been my barber for 9 years, and I have never waited more than 5 minutes for any of my appointments. The cuts are consistent and take 20-25 minutes. For my style, at the end of each haircut, my sideburns and nape are finished with a traditional straight razor and warm shaving cream.

No matter who we are or what we do, we are judged by how we look in life, in both work and love. And unless you wear a hat all the time, you can't hide a bad haircut.

It can sometimes be uncomfortable or intimidating when we try out a new barber or barber shop. Whether or not you like sports, socializing, or politics, it doesn't matter. No matter who you are, you will be welcomed and treated with respect and professionalism.

Call to find out the current prices. Tip what you think is fair and worthy of their skill. For me personally, I've never felt that the prices are too expensive. Quite the opposite. I always feel that I don't pay or tip Al enough for what I think he is worth. Many women pay two to five times more for their hairstylists.

Skill, professionalism, and respect are the hallmarks of the fine barbers at the Men's Quarters. The barber shop's mottos are "Where Your Appearance Is Our Reputation" and "Referrals Are the Nicest Compliment!"

I couldn't recommend Al or any of the other barbers at the Men's Quarters more highly.

Give them a try, and like many men, you will be lifelong customers.

I've been going to Al at The Men's Quarters for about 2 years. The price for a cut is $22. The notes about the service and quality of work that others have already submitted are accurate. They are worth the price, and they take their time and do it right. A barber license is harder to get than a cosmetologist license, and that is part of why you get a better cut - they are better able to provide it. Oh, and the magazines are ala sports and cars. The one comment makes it sound like Hustler and Playboy - not so!

P.S. They relocated in April, 2008 to Trabuco Road. I don't know the exact address, but it's in the lower half of the strip mall behind the Mobil station of the corner of Lake Forest and Trabuco.

Pricy, but great service: I went to this barber shop just to try it out, as I was not very happy with the barbers that I had been going to. Surprisingly, the service was wonderfully excellent and both I and my wife loved my new look. I went for a simple hair cut (no specific styles) and I felt I looked myself after a long time.
The other surprise was the price -- it was somewhere in-mid twenties, plus the tip makeing it close to thirty dollars. I had been more used to prices in the mid teens. But I feel that a decent look is definitely worth a few more dollars, so I continue to go to this place.
The barbers are all men, so I think they better understand men's hair-cut. Other places do hair-cut for both men and women, so they may not have specific skills for men which might explain the quality.
