User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWent there with a group of 15 for a Chicago Meetup, to watch the Bears/Green Bay opener. Started out as a good night. Then one of our group took a Bar Stool from the Bar with a backrest and was told that she could not use it. This young lady has recently had back surgery and requested that she be allowed to use the chair so that she could sit with the group. The bar manager and the owner both told her no! That they needed to have continuity at the bar with the stools. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. When we informed the owner that we were a group of 15-16 and that we would not return it didn't seem to faze him. There was 2 minutes to go in the 1st half so we asked for our checks, and decided to go to another establishment. When we all received our tabs, although we were there as a group we all were running our own tabs, and to a group the bar added the gratuity to each individual bar tab. I thought that this was not only unfair but very unscrupulous on thier part. The wait staff was great, in fact our waitress was as confused about the reasoning as we were. Needless to say, we will not return to THE CLASSIC Q for another meetup. As far as I'm concerned it was the rudest and most discraceful thing an owner could do.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI've given this place way too many chances and in turn have gotten burned on every trip. I was excited when i heard new management had taken over, but other than the TV's, I see no change.
On one occasion they charged my group for refills.... of SODA.... I asked another customer if they had been billed for the same, but he had not.
Another occasion, four of us went to watch some of the NFL playoff games, and 3 of us ordered food while the 4th just beer.... 30minutes later the bar tender dropped a flyer on our table. We thought it might have been the specials for that day, but it was not. It was a notice that each customer had to purchase 10$ minimum PER AM NFL session and PM NFL session... and for the most part we all had. We looked around, and realized we were the only table that had received that paper. What's worse is that they weren't even at full capacity.
I'm not sure what I have done to deserve this treatment. The bartender? Manager? I'm not sure what his title is, but the big tanned slick backed hair guy is a jerk.
Unless you guys are willing to spend a good amount of money on their cruddy food, I wouldn't expect good service.-

I really likes this place! awesome service, cheap pool and drinks! great smoking patio with tons of tables and tv's.

The guy who wrote this has no morals anyway.....he's very concerned about what he can do at a bar when he abandoned his family & kids back in Illinois to hook up with the owner of Laguna Lock Shop who flew him out for a weekend tryst, & now is putting him up because his wife found out about it. He's living off of her, and he's a no-good, user guy, who can't pay his child support, but of course he's going to complain about a gratuity being added to his tab! What a loser, and the owner of Laguna Lock Shop isn't much better.
