Whether you are in search of a quick buy for a day out on the beach, or are looking for souvenirs to bring back home, you can find it among the many shops and restaurants in this bustling oceanfront area. Here you can pick up an OC sweatshirt to properly emulate those moody walks by the waves, or get the kids some toy shovels to built expert sand castles. Then stop by one of the many kiosks for a fruit smoothie for the ride home -- but before you go, be sure to walk out to the end of the pier for some great views of Catalina Island and the surrounding beaches.
This is the worst place ever! I was not happy with the unprofessional behavior of the management. The restaurant needs serious review and definatley new ownership.
Awful Service! DON'T GO THERE! The young waitress and one of the two waiters they had, forgot about our food and us, and brought them COLD forty-five minutes later. We ordered calamari rings, chicken, and fish (ALL DEEP FRIED FOODS) were brought to us only when we inquired why our order was taking so long. The thing is there were very few people at the restaurant. Now we know the reason why. After the waiter brought the food, we informed the waitress about the condition of the food etc, and she said sorry but nothing was offered by her to rectify the situation. We did not want to let it diminsh our evening so we asked for a check and left. The newport pier seafood restaurant waiters and waitresses could careless about the customers! We will never go there again!
