Minh's Alterations

Do NOT trust Minh with your alterations!

Minh does NOT care about your order or when you need it.

I've been to Minh's many times over the last 3 years (because I haven't found another local seamstress) hoping she'll clean up her act and I'll have a simple pleasant transaction. Each time I go in to pick up my order/alterations they're NEVER ready. What's more, she hasn't even started the work.

I make it a point to go in early with no "rush jobs" so shen has plenty of time. I confirm my pick up date with her and she always assures me she'll call, or it'll be ready on time.
Each and EVERY TIME I go in to pick up my order, its never ready. NEVER. What makes it worse is, she NEVER calls to tell me its late or that she need more time. My orders are consistantly OVER a week late.
She gets angry when I mention she's late and I need my alterations by the specific date that we have agreed upon.

Minh also quotes me one price at the time I drop off and charges MORE when I pick up.
She makes excuses and tells me she has called me to get in touch. I show her my phone list of incoming calls. She sees there are no calls from her and I catch her in a lie. Then she admits she gave the work to her cousin who "can't be reached" and says I should come back at another agreed time. When I did, my alterations which are already LATE, are still untouched...and she doesn't even know if its in her shop.

So this last October (2009) I caller her every day after she told me to come back a second time to make sure things were getting done.
She is unprofessional, lazy, and a liar...and she doesn't care.

I am searching for another seamstress. I will NEVER go back.
I suggest you look elsewhere too and avoid the frustration.

If you have an alteration that is time sensitive and needs to be done by a certain date, I suggest you learn to sew yourself because at least them you know the work will be done faster...and get done PERIOD.

Avoid Minh's!

Everytime I take items to Minh she always has them ready on time. Her work is impecable and her prices are reasonable. There are very few alterations that she can't do and then she has her sister help her. Go Minh!!!
