I went for my birthday on Sunday. The host didn't know what the wait time was and almost made us wait 30-40 min when there was actual available tables for less than a 5 min wait (we overheard the other hostess correcting her). Our waitress was super nice and but when our meal came my plate was forgotten (happy birthday me!) what was was even funnier that our entire table ordered the same thing burgers and fries so its not like our order was complicated. By the time my burger was ready everyone else was almost done. Not the experience I was hoping for, and no real attempt to rectify the error. sadly disappointed.
I've been inside the giftshop in Vegas and thought it was a pretty cool place so I just had to get the actual experience while being in the Disneyland area. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. The workers were not eager to serve/help us. They repeatedly messed up on our order, sent our food to the wrong table, etc; Our waitress was polite, however, many hosts had bad attitudes. The food was NOTHING special. The appetizer was bland. I had ordered one of the pizzas and I probably would have been better off buying a frozen one and cooking it on my own. The decorations and theme is awesome, but I would not recommend it for dining. Especially for how pricey it is.
I've worked there for about a year and really like it there. Not the place to go for a quiet dinner, and it's pricey. But you're not paying just for the food, but also the experience. There are large size animatronic elephants, gorillas, and more. There are beautiful tropical fish in large salt water aquariums, including one you walk under. There are thunder and lightning storms, a gigantic indoor waterfall and lots of lush greenery. Theres a really cool shop with something for everyone. The food is pretty good too. The ribs steak and shrimp trio is a good one. There is a new summer dish, the shrimp and scallop brochette, and it is awesome! But definitely save room and bring friends to help eat the volcano for dessert, it's a hot fudge brownie sundae that is to die for!!! Don't forget drinks either, you can get a really cool 21 oz light up cup filled with an awesome drink for only 11.99 and you get to keep the cup. The Brazilian freeze is a non-alcoholic raspberry banana pina colada and it's sooo good! And the panama punch is their most delicious alcohol drink, which also packs quite a punch (it has a very high alcohol content but you cant really taste it) Get there early. There is a very long wait on weekend evenings, but you can make a reservation for a party of 6 or less 24 hours in advance. Please dont neglect to tip your server at least 15-20%. They are expected to earn that much; but too often they are undeservingly way undertipped, and still have to pay out 5% of their total sales to their food runners, bussers, and bartenders. If you dont tip your server you are actually costing them money out of their pockets.
