User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThree night stay - kids were very disappointed because we had no cockroach sightings. We had the "Mother-In Law" Unit and we found it most satisfactory. Air Conditioner worked and the room(s) were clean. Having to pay for the Disneyland Shuttle was "just wrong" and we decided to walk both days to the park. Very large pool kept the kids entertained when not at Disneyland. Overall, we would stay there again.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsAGAIN, Beware of cockroaches!! While I was sleeping my boyfriend saw one above my head and tried to get it which woke me up. Nice as he is, he told me just go back to sleep, but did tell me in the morning what had happened. I flipped out, marched to the front desk and they would not move us! They said basically that there was nothing he could do. I demanded a refund on my credit card which put us behind in money as we moved to the Park Vue Inn on Harbor BLVD which was closer and nicer to Disneyland. The Jolly Roger's rooms were very outdated and furniture was filthy. I had to get drunk just to sleep somewhat the one night we stayed there. It looks nothing like on the internet pictures it boasts for guests to stay there. I do not recomend it to anyone especially if you are going to Disneyland. it's to far of a walk when you can be closer to the maingate on harbor blvd. and have a lot nicer room for the same price or even cheaper. Trust me, don't stay here. It needs to be reported to the BBB.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsSteer Clear, especially w/kids: We reserved a room at the Jolly Roger in Anaheim as part of a Disney package and spent all but an hour in our room before transfering to an adjacent hotel, which (thank God) we were able to do without any problem. The room was AWFUL! It is not at all like advertised as the photo on their website. The fan in the bathroom blasted like a noise from a jet engine, plus there was no tub. Also the floor was dirty, the furniture looked like it'd been bought at an estate sale from an elderly couple and the grounds were dirty and not maintained. There was a big hole in the carpet at the top of the stairs. What's worse is the doors had no inside latch or chain. So, how are you supposed to have a secure room, especially if you have your young children with you. This place should be condemned. I don't understand how this place stays in business and AAA approved.
