| About: | There is plenty of atmosphere here since the waiters and waitresses take great pride in wearing the type of colorful outfits one might normally only see in a quaint town square down in Mexico. The colors are truly joyful much like the music playing in the background. This place is so popular that you will want to be sure to make a reservation since the failure to do so will usually guarantee a fairly long wait for a table. Every kind of taco you can think of is served here, including chicken, ground beef, cheese and fish. The enchilada platters are favorites, as are the inexpensive Margaritas and beers. Like all good Mexican restaurants, this place keeps your table's basket overflowing with hot chips and salsa. The most intimate seating is found in the booths located away from the main entrance. A few house wines are available, and bring cash since this place does not except any credit cards. |

4 words: Best chile verde ever!
Glad to have found this place, however, wish they took credit cards and served tequila.
Been eating here 36 years including my 1st date w/ my husband whose family were customers. Decor is junky and the lighting is awful, but if you can get past that you will LOVE the food. If you like lots of cheese try the cheese chips! The chili rellenos are the best I've ever had and have not found even a close match during 10 years in Tucson AZ! Whenever we get back Anahiem our first stop is MexiCasa! YUM!
LOVE this place. I discovered Mexi-Casa in 1978 when I worked in a nearby office (at their former location). When the restaurant moved due to freeway expansion I followed. 31 years and still not tired of the food or prices. Let's face it, this is not El Torito or any of those Fancy-schmansy upscale chains that are long on atmosphere and price and short on taste. It is clean, quality food that is fresh and tastes good. Portions are generous--you won't go hungry and there isn't anything on the menu to steer clear of. Family friendly. My only complaints are that the salsa is typically a sauce type and there is no Pico de Gallo. Some might object that the Margaritas are made with wine and other than that there is only beer, and wine,-no hard liquor, and no desserts. But that is more than made up by the friendly staff, quick service and great prices. They accomodate large groups. Try this place and you'll be glad you did.
