Shiki Japanese Restaurant

Shiki has been around since even before I was a little girl and I am 32 now. I remember going there with my grandmother Yoko and she was best friends with the owners. Not only does Shiki have amazing food, but they are completely authentic! I can say that because I grew up on Japanese food! Besides, it is the only place that will make me Salmon Onigiri, which is cooked salmon inside of a rice ball, with seaweed wrapped around it. My favorite!~ Plus, their sushi is banging and their service is even better! I feel very welcome every time I go there and it makes me feel like a piece of my grandma is still there, even though she passed away when I was 8.

I have found my new home away from home !!!!: We had a group of 9 adults and made a reservation for the teppan table and it was the most fun we have ever had going out to dinner. The cook was a riot, the food was great, the service was excellent and the ambience was perfect. My wife and I plan on going to eat there at least once a week!!!!

***AMAZING!!*** I just had to go on here and write them a review and let everyone know what a great experience I had my first time here. I went here for my gf's birthday on July 4th and saw all these great reviews and just had to see if they were true and I have to tell you that this place did not disappoint me. The owner Gerard was super nice and very welcoming to us the second we walked into the door. We asked for the teppan table and he was more than happy to give us whatever we wanted. The portions here are humungous and if I had known I would not have ordered extra sushi rolls. The food was fantastic and the chef cooking our food was very nice and entertaining. The sauce in the bottle trick is hilarious as it freaked out my little sister and she went ducking for cover. We ordered the filet mignon steak and another type of steak and these steaks just melted in your mouth and once you bit into it, the texture was just unbelievable. Some steaks you have to chew and chew but not this one, it was cooked to perfection. So if you have not tried this place yet I really don't know what you are waiting for! If you have kids, this place is a must. They give out a little puzzle to kids that they have to solve and will get a surprise if they do. We all got a little gift at the end of our dinner which was a nice surprise. I have never felt more at home at any other restaurant in my life. Thanks!
