Quite frankly this is the single worst experience I have ever encountered at any restaurant in the state of California. The service was painfully slow - not unexpected for a french restaurant - however the server (a woman with red hair who I believe is the owner) forgot several parts of our meal; example - the salmon that was an add-on to the salad. Worst part, she was extremely rude... to the point where she insulted our family of 5 when we complained (something to the effect of "most families actually enjoy spending time together" and "you'll just have to wait until we can get to you." ). When things become verbally heated, she went to her husband in the kitchen to "come take care of these (expletives)."
The food was adequate at best (to be safe, go with the salmon if you must go; the salads are also ok... the scallops were above-average). We would never, ever, recommend this restaurant to anyone unless they wanted to experience the rock-bottom worst service a restaurant has to offer.
We had a very dissapointing experience and do not recommend this Restaurant to anybody.. We were ignorded for at least 5 mins when we first got there and I assume it's the owner of the place, finally sat us and when my wife asked him if he recommended anything special, he said something in a huff having nothing to do with the question that was asked and walked away. We waited another 10 mins for a waitress to appear and when that never happened, we stopped one of the waitress's and asked her if we could order and she very hastedly told us she'd be right with us. At that point we decided to just leave so we walked out and grabbed a burger around the Courtyard. The place was empty with only one or two tables at the time so there was no excuse for all the attitude and rotten service.
Like eating in a countryside bistro. Husband is chef and wife, Wendy is the server. Wendy is the most friendly person I have ever met. Food is great, presentation is tired and pedestrian, but quality of food is tops. Dessert should not be missed. Plus have Wendy choose your wine, she always has some great wine not on the menu.
