We love sushi and were excited to try a new place close to home.
We did not have a good experience at this place. The sushi tasted fishy and the bill was totally over-priced. The sushi chef hand wrote in prices that were double the printed amount for certain common fish. He wouldn't even make eye contact with us as we left. We will not go back.
An absolute treat!
This is the best sushi this side of Japan (maybe even better). The ahi tuna is the freshest I have ever tried. The Salmon sushi is velevt. Sam the propritor of the establishment knows the fine art of sushi. He has created some very special menu items such as "Bonta". The service is always exemplory. A must is the shripm lettuce wrap in the summer. If food can be refreshing on a summer day, this is it.
One of the classics is the crunchy roll. It is based on a special sauce that cannot be explained with words. My wife and I trave in excess of 45 miles just to visit Koisan. A MUST for any sushi lover! 5 stars!
Really really good sushi, but the sushi chefs can be a little irritable sometimes.... I still go there, but I wish the chefs were a little more friendly. The Bonta roll is really good, as is the Noriega. You gotta try those two... oh, if you want really good sushi and great chefs, try Ginzaya up Katella just east of Orange Hill restaurant.

Hi Sushigirl04: You may have had a bad experience, but I think this place is worthy of another chance. Try the Bonta and the tuna and salmon sashimi. Best I have ever had. My 2 cents.
