User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI don't know if the ownership changed or just the food preparers and staff, but I just honored a craving after a year of not having had the food I used to love so much and I was very disappointed. I ordered and brought home the items, one of which was no longer wrapped in foil like it used to be so that it wouldn't seep out everywhere, and the quality has totally been compromised (everything was soggy and lacked flavor, no cilantro even though I asked for it and not very 'yummm' like I used to think). Also, the avocado-based sauce was "off" (our favorite sauce in the past) and I had to throw away the taco I put it on because the sauce made it taste and smell so bad. My tummy has been gurgling since I ate the food yesterday (I'm still not feeling too well), and I'm very sad about this because we used to LOVE the food there (we were big fans who thought of this place as serving the best, or at least better than other local places).... too bad :( the taste and quality have changed, no longer fresh and reliable... never again.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest Mexican Food in Town!!: The best Mexican food anywhere! We've moved out of Ventura, but anytime we come to visit we make it a point to stop at El Taco De Mexico. The only reason they're so busy is because everyone knows they have the tastiest Mexican food in town. We've been searching all over the Santa Clarita Valley for anything close to El Taco De Mexico and no such luck. They have an outdoor patio with tables which is nice. I definitely recommend this place.

The Best: This little mexican "fast" food joint is just about the best I have ever had. They are fast, the food is amazing, and the cost is a great value. The portions are HUGE, and they have a great selection. The only downside is that they are busy!
