My friends and I discovered Chef Karim's restaurant by accident. Santa Barbara is not known for having great food, mostly trendy tourist traps. Chef Karim's was a wonderful discovery. The service was awesome, very polite and knowledgeable waiters.
The salads were delicious, from the carrots to the hummus. The B'Stilla was quite a surprise, the combination of sweet and savory was sublime. For the entrees we tried the Chicken with Lemon and Olives, the Chicken Kabobs and the Saffron Chicken with chickpeas, all of them outstanding with the chicken fresh, tender and juicy.
Note to the ladies, while the men are watching the belly dancing, you can watch one of the hottest waiters in Southern California.
5 star: Chef Karim is a wonderful guy and his restaurant is top notch. The atmosphere and foof are great and the music and Belly dancers are lots of fun. We take all of our out of town guests here as well as celebrate our personal events ( such as our engagement party). Our favorite place to eat in SB (we live here).
You have got to try it: This was a really fun and different place. Friendly, fun, good food. I had the chicken and the lady had the lamb. We had some champagne and Morroccan beer to go with it. We usually eat at much more upscale restaurants however this was a real treat and Mr. Karim will come out and visit just as stated in the other reviews. Have fun!
