Great location and layout. BUT . . . my bagel was 3rd rate and the coffee like warm dishwater. If the bagel is not any better than some mass produced junk at the market then why bother? I love GOOD coffee. The quality of their coffee is poor. Any owner needs to do something special in order to stand out. If a customer spends $25 a week with a store that is $1,300 a year. If you WOW me and others you make a lot of money. If not then I take my $$$$ else where.

A better place to go than the rest: Great place to go and have a bagel and a conversation. Owner is friendly and greets you when you walk in. Every customer is treated as if they were a regular like Norm on “Cheers". The lunch sandwiches are top notch, and unlike other eaters you get meat on the sandwich not just lettuce and a bagel. The shakes are very tasty and make you want another. They have such a variety of bagels that you would not even think of. I love to see a Bakersfield Owned bakery doing well; I just wish he would open up another store on the other side of town.

We can't wait to go back: I would drive all across town to get a Breakfast or Lunch Bagel. They are always busy and some times you might have to wait just a little bit.
