User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSushi Kato is Simply... THE BEST!!! Small and cozy restaurant serving excellent sushi dishes, the food is always exceptional, all expertly prepared. Staff is personable and very friendly.
They have a variety of sushi that is so fresh that you'll think the fish is still alive, you can tell that the fish is fresh just from the crisp sound of the chef's blade slicing the fish. I would defintely recommend it!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIfyou want a genuine Japanese sushi bar experience in Bakersfield, this is the place. I spent many years in Japan and this place looks and feels like the typical family operated neighborhood restaurant one finds in Japan. Mr. Kato, an authentic sushi chef, performs and creates accordingly. Mrs. Kato supervises the servers who also try to maintain the japanese atmoshphere and are prompt and courteous. I love the Bear Mountain roll and the Chirashi bowls the most. restaurant.
