User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsmy parents went to slo yanagi sushi for the first time.they told me it was such an welcoming restaurant.server naimed mandy was very nice to my parents.even when my mother made a reorder the server explained to her well and my mom enjojed her lunch.the server came to her and asked mr parents for hot tea as in respect of elderlies on a cold day.so i deciede to try there as well for my self with my family for a nice lunch.yanagi workers were all smiling with hospitality surounding their faces and my family had a nice enjoyable lunch there.i also saw the sever naimed mandy working hard.i would like to visit yanagi sushi again with my entire family.its a very nice place to go .

Best sushi in Paso/SLO! The hungry roll is to die for if you like the fancy fried type of roll- SO AMAZING . Staff is very friendly and willing to help out if you have questions about any roll. Love eating here a few times a month!

I have never felt so unwelcome a restaurant before. Their lunch ends at 2:30 and we arrived at 2:10. When we were seated the server told us it was last call and we needed to order right then, she hadn't even given us menus yet. After she set the menus down she still stood there asking what we wanted. We told her the sign says 2:30 and we needed a minute to decide. After we got our food we never saw our server again. We had drinks that needed refills and we usually appreciate when a server asks us how everything is going. The sushi rolls were prepared horribly, mine required heating which was obviously something they were too in a rush to do because it was cold. I had never experienced such horrible service. I recommend eating at Tsurugi or any other place in SLO.
