User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsit was our first time to eat at players pizza & will be the LAST!!! the food wasnt enjoyable or wasnt worth the price. My husband & i can home throwing up, we didnt even get full bcuz the food didnt taste good. there wasnt enough salt to the food & the dough was too much, the only thing we ate that was good was the salad & the ice cream.I WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO EAT HERE! im sorry but im giving my honest opinion..... it was bad!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIn town from Santa Barbara and thought pizza sounded good? Was sat immediately by a very nice waitress. My wife and I decided to do the dinner buffet. Pizza, chicken, pasta etc. Well the pizza looked alright in the heated area it was being kept in. Well the second this pizza cools it turns hard and rubbery like microwave pizza! The salad bar was mediocre at best. And last but not least! As I was finishing our first trip to the pizza bar I had a nice happy and healthy cockroach wander across my table! It was in broad daylight and didn't seem to mind me being there at all! I promptly smashed him with a desert menu and asked for the check. I then asked the bus boy does this happen often? He said not really?!? He then grabbed the cockroach with a napkin and exited right immediately! Last time Players get a dime from me! Once again though if your not bothered by roaches the service is quite friendly!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsBad attitude. I saw review that the salad bar was fantastic, but I think it was written by an employee. I was very unimpressed with it, and the food looked average. What really got me was that I wanted to reserve their room for a group function. I got on the calendar then was told that if someone else wanted the whole room instead of just half like I did, they would give it to them. The only way I could keep the room was with a non refundable $50 deposit. I didn't want to commit to $50 of product if we didn't get a big turnout, and I didn't like that they would give the room away. It felt like extortion so I went to the place by Von's and they took good care of us. Too bad for Players. If the food was better it might be worth a visit. I have also heard from friends that it isn't much.
