Im a server at Chilis and one thing you should know is it is ranked the busiest Chilis in the nation so a wait is to be expected. And second of all, sounds like your daughter lied to you about reserving a table because Chilis does not except reservations as this would surely make the wait time go up for an already busy restaurant. I'm sure Chilis would be flattered that you think of it a fancy enough place for a reservation but....COME ON!! And lastly, the staff does the best they can dealing with huge waits and people that have nothing to do but sit outside and try to pin a long wait on a ridiculous accusation such as race. Instead of throwing the race card, ask the white people how long they waited, Im sure it was longer than your family, and Im sure they waited much more patiently too!
That being said, Chilis is a busy restaurant but also has the most friendly and personal staff than any other restaurant in Bakersfield. If you stop by, expect a wait, but please treat the staff dealing with these waits on an every day basis with a little respect and understanding.-

My daughter and her husband (including 3 babies)invited me to have dinner with them. She called ahead to reserve a table, when we got there she was told that it would take 35 minutes (1st red flag). As we waited outside with the babies, they kept calling party of 12, 5, 7 members - of course all white people - (2nd red flag as we are mexican-american). About 30 minutes she went inside to asked if our table was ready, she was told that it would take another 10 minutes. well 30 miniute wait turned into almost an hour wait. I dont believe the hostes made any effort to accomodate us, i will not recomend this restaurant to any of my friends and family members. Sorry Chilli's, because of the way i was treated i will be taking my business some place else. Money is money whether the person is white, brown, black.........
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsLove it: Great food and good service. The only drawback is there is usually a long line to get in because it is so popular. I have tried the steaks and potatoes and they are all good!

Chili's does not take reservations. It is unfortunate to have to wait, but it is a very busy restaurant. If you go expect a wait. It's also not the best place to bring 3 babies because you will be waiting for a table and we all know how cranky little ones can get.
