User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDr. Stanislaus is very caring, comprehensive, and competent. I have an extensive history of chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, pcos, and infertility and it is difficult for me to find a non specialized doctor that I feel comfortable with. I just recently moved to the area this August and during my first appointment with Dr. Stanislaus she eased all of my concerns.
She, along with her staff (Candy her nurse, Janet in insurance authorizations), worked with me to find an endo specialist at a university who would take my insurance (not an easy task!). Together they are working together to ease my chronic pain when many of my previous doctors thought it was not possible.
Furthermore, Dr. Stanislaus listens to my wishes for future fertility plans and recommended an excellent reproductive endocrinologist nearby to assist in having a family sometime soon.
She understands the pain I endure and allows me to help decide which medications are right or wrong for my treatment right now instead of just insisting and perscribing without a discussion as most doctors do. Never has she questioned me or my pain. She respects my experience and my opinion and I respect her as I have no other doctor so quickly in our relationship.
Just recently I ended up in the hospital for gallstones. The doctors questioned whether it was indeed just my gall bladder and suggested that the endo had spread. Without question, Dr. Stanislaus arrived for consulation after hours to my hospital bed. Never did I doubt she was on my side. My gall bladder was removed a few days later and the general surgeon requested a gyn to be present for the surgery. I expressed my great desire it be Dr. Stanislaus. My surgery was after normal business hours on a Friday evening, but she made it a point to be there. In her words, she wouldn't have missed the opportunity to do an exploratory when I was already undergoing a necessary operation; I was already anesthetized and the incisions and equipment were already there, why wouldn't she have taken the time to be there just to take a quick look? I think that this speaks to her commitment to her patients.
Sure, I'd like to think that I'm special, but the fact is Dr. Stanislaus really has only seen me a handful of times. My first appointment with her was just the end of this September. She's an amazing doctor that I'm positive makes everyone feel special and at ease. So no matter what female problems you are facing, or if you are lucky enough to be perfectly healthy and are just looking for a wonderful ob/gyn your search happily ends here.-

I am glad you had a good experience with this doctor however our experience was a horrible one. We now have a child in our family that has a brachial plexis injury. It should have been and could have been avoided.
Army wife: can you explain more about the brachial plexis injury? What is is? How did this come about? I am recently pregnant and was reccammended to see Dr. Stanislaus, however I would like to know about all types of experiences patients have had with her so I can make an informed decision.
