I LOVE AND MISS HARRY'S! Growing up in the central valley, Harry's seemed like home. At least 6 times a year I got to the dunes and I always went to Harry's. The last time I was there, some friends and I went wine tasting in Paso. I had to go to Harry's! We drove to Pismo and it was great. I got up with the band and sang "Suspicious Minds." It was great. After I sang, the lead singer aked my name, the name of my band and where I was from. I just said "Susie from Salinas, no band...lol :) I moved about 3 states away right after that. Say whatever you want about Harry's, but I love the place... wish I was there right now! Still doing my music... and whatever else I can get by with! Named my dog Harry for a reason... he is great too.

I had never been to Harrys or Pismo beach for that matter. We stayed at a nearby hotel and walked the few steps to Harrys for some cocktails. As we got closer, I could soon tell that it was Karaoke Night (thursday). Odly enough, the talent in there that night was fantastic. They had some folks singin in there that obviously knew their vocal range and had a nice selection of tunes they knew well. I think the best was the bouncer who sang God of Thunder by Kiss. The scene was superb. Classy, old cowboy style bar, if that makes sense. Great crowd, nice staff, watch out for the bartender with the handcuffs!

Are you kidding? Harry's nice? Cracked Crab fresh? Jocko's better that an LA Steak house? Dude, you have no clue. Harry's is a dump...also getting sued by tourists that got the crap beat out of them by a bouncer for nothing. Sorry bro, but the Cracked Crab uses frozen crab....there's no commercial crab fishing any where close to here. And Jocko's grills a fresh cut of beef, they don't, however, dry age a fine piece of beef and flash broil it like the pros do. Sorry man, but you probably think you can get a great burger at McDonalds.
