User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe rating has come down the last 8 years in my opinion. I would caution Giovanni's against cutting corners and hiring young staff who are not really interested in being there. Giovanni's is not what it once was or what it could be again.
That being said.. I still recommend Giovanni's t is good food great location ad I have enjoyed it for over 30 years
I very much like the Combo and chips basket, the prawn and chips, halibut sandwich, oyster shooters and crab cocktails.
From the fish market I always take home smoked albacore and smokes salmon as well as jumbo sea scallops. The seafood is always fresh, great place to grab lunch or to watch the sun set..
The dining area is outside on waterfront deck, there are wind blocks and umbrellas and is quite relaxing. I caution you to watch food closely at the gulls will take it the moment you turn your back.
I also suggest that you arrive early before normal meal times to avoid long lines.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsUpdate........Have you been here recently? You have to stop in --- The store has brand new elite cases that display the fresh fish....gorgeous! The staff will bend over backward to make sure my order is perfect --- and not only mine....everyone's order is top priority --- Don't hesitate to make friends here with the staff and dine often on the patio ... I recently upgraded my "chips" to garlic fries --- they were out of this world -- a smattering of freshly grated cheese and fresh chopped herbs...and the perfect amount of garlic. The container would barely close because of how large the portion was! Enough to share! Be sure to get on Giovanni's email list for monthly specials too :-)

The food is horrible, don't go there.
Do you think that will make the line shorter next time I'm there?
Just kidding, my only complaint is sometimes we don't get there before they close, so now we make sure we're there early!!! Can't wait to go back.
