My first trip there was GREAT! Now I look for reason's to get to this area so I can enjoy a Fantastic Meal from this place.
Even the locals are nice easy going people.
It's a MUST go, if you enjoy STEAKS!

I live in SLO town on the central coast. And we have some good steak places here. But hands down the best, is Jocko's. As other reviewers noted, if you are looking for ambiance, don't bother! But if you want great food, then this is the place for you! Sure the wait can be long, but it's worth it. And as the other reviewer noted, sit in their dimly lit, nothing fancy bar with us locals, and have a drink, relax & enjoy! Before you know it, your name will be called and you will be seated and on your way to enjoying a melt in your mouth slab of the best tasting beef. True the decor looks like it was set back in the 70s. And yes the dining room is LOUD and BUSY. Wait staff can be short and very matter-of-fact but they are busy feeding lots of hungry folks! But again, if you want a great tasting steak, this is the best on the central coast!
