The chart House: Been going there for years.
Family friendly very clean and great food. We had two
cocktails, crabcake, two lobster bisque, two filet mignon w/mashed pots, bread. $107.
without tip. Bring sandwiches t
to ski mountain, food and drinks are lousy, and expensive. The food on the
mountain has always been expensive and not very good.
pizza slice $5.00. Bring sandwiches and drinks and
put in a locker. $2 for locker (each time you close it). I
have been skiing there for fifty years and the Senior Ticket is $29 half day, $39 all day. I ski afternoon half day
(3 1/2 hours). One market in the village (Vons). Sometimes they are out of food. Buy in Bishop before you come up the mountain.
Stayed at the Quality Inn which was clean and had a
good continental breakfast.
Underground parking incase of snow. Johns Pizza is ok.
The stove is good for breakfast. There is a restaurant in the Yodler near
Mammoth Mountain Inn is
pretty good for sandwiches.
Bus service is very good instead of driving your car.
Runs very frequently. Can't beat Mammoth for a huge variety of
runs. Intermediates can ski
all day and never run out of new runs.
We love coming to this place: Simply put...fine dining with wonderful service with a child friendly atmosphere. Love the lava cake too!!!!! Make sure you order in advance, it takes a while to bake.
Great Food: I was there for a wedding reception, and it was the best reception food I have EVER had.
