Dr Reimer is a great Doctor, but his staff is very rude and act uncaring. They do put people on hold when no one is waiting on hold. They just need to be more friendly and at least act like they want to be there.
I have to agree with most of the previous reviews. I believe Dr. Reimer is a good doctor. He spends a lot of time in the exam room with me which I appreciate, but you have to wait a while for it to be your turn. Dr. Reimer gives plenty of time to describe my concerns, but at times it seems that he is not hearing or understanding everything I am telling him. His office is not well run. For instance, I and several friends who also see Dr. Reimer have had to call repeatedly to get results from tests or referrals to specialists. The typical response is âI will put a message on the doctorâs deskâ, but a return call is never received. On one occasion I finally gave up (after several weeks) calling in and just made another appointment to see him, so I could get a referral. You do get long hold times on the telephone. This is especially frustrating when you get the same response every time you call that âthere are two calls ahead of you please holdâ. Well I have been sitting in the waiting room and heard the receptionist make this comment to the person on the phone only to do a little paper shuffling and then pick up the phone after a couple of minutes and take the call. However, when I have mentioned the subpar treatment by the staff to Dr. Reimer he either dismisses it or makes excuses for it. Maybe he deals with it later, but I have not seen any improvement over the last several years. Another example which is a little gross but tells about the attention the staff is paying to the patients is that on a couple of occasions a urine sample has been requested. You know how they tell you to leave it in the little box in the wall? Well what do you do when the box it full of about 10 other samples and there is no room for yours to fit? Also I wonder if they are actually going to test the sample left since apparently they did not test all the others that have been left. I apologize for the gross example, but I believe it gives a good picture of how the staff handles the office. So all in all I think Dr. Reimer is a capable doctor and I appreciate the amount of time I get in the exam room, but many other aspects of my treatment leave me concerned.
Dr. Reimer is a wonderful person, and he saved my life two years ago when he properly diagnosed my illness after my quack doctor in Reedley was clueless. That being said, the way his office staff acts toward patients is deplorable. Every time I call I am put on hold for a minimum of fifteen minutes, and when I finally complained about it, the receptionist was rude. I will continue to see Dr. Reimer, but I really wish Peachwood would reassess the way they do business and give their office staff a course on public relations.
