| About: | El Toro Cafe serves substantial Mexican favorites with a California accent. The menu includes vegetarian and seafood entrees. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the setting is sufficiently informal to win a "thumbs-up" for sweaty travelers from bikerfriendly.com. All told, a wholesome, inexpensive Cali-Mex joint for hungry diners on a budget or on the go. |

the food is horrible and bland , the service is terrible and slow . they focus on their regulars the owner and his staff treat new customers very rude. I am so happy to write this review, because I LOVE El Toro! I have been going there for years! We moved to Arizona and I miss it so much. Everytime we go back to Fresno we stop there. You can't go wrong with a taco, beans and rice and their salsa is TO DIE FOR. I love to get a side of guacamole with it. I'm drooling right now.
Been going here for 30+ years!: I feel pleased to write this review. El Toro is a wonderufl Mexican restaraunt in East Central Fresno. Located near the Granite Park sport complex, El Toro offers a wonderful atmosphere, and excellent food at very reasonable prices. El Toro, known for it's 'standard mexican dishes' like tacos and enchiladas, has a diverse menu served in a timely fashion. I recommend this restaraunt and I keep going back since before I was born, for thier amazing salsa! Give it a try, you'll know why it's packed. If your an Oakland Raider fan, you'll appreciate the Raider Museum in the bar area. Be sure to say hi to Jim, he'll say Hi back!
